Overview

The Arab Women Network of Chemical, Biological, Radiological and Nuclear Security (CBRN) is a regional initiative aimed at empowering Arab women and enhancing their active role in security and safety fields related to hazardous materials. The network focuses on capacity building, supporting women’s participation in decision-making, and fostering cooperation among experts across the Arab region. Our members represent countries across the region, and include professionals from national governments, regulatory agencies, academic institutions, and civil society organizations.

Members of Arab Women Network in CBRN Security participated in the 66th annual meeting of the Institute of Nuclear Material Management, held in Washington, DC, from August 24-28, 2025. It was a very engaging and productive week for the network and for its members.

I’m proud to be part of a growing community committed to advancing regional expertise and collaboration in chemical, biological, radiological, and nuclear security. Our network brings together professionals from across the Middle East to exchange knowledge, develop skills, and support one another. Together, we are building a stronger, more resilient CBRN security community that reflects the diversity and talent of our region.
