Khadija Bendam

Vice-President | Morocco

Khadija Bendam is the Head of Nuclear and Radiological Safety and Security Audits at CNESTEN and an internationally recognized expert with the IAEA in emergency preparedness and response (EPR), safety, and security. She also serves as Morocco’s focal point for the WHO/REMPAN network. A prominent leader in the global nuclear community, she is a Board Member of WiN Global, a member of its Executive Committee, the Leader of WiNEPRI, a Board Member of WiN Africa, and the President of WiN Morocco. Additionally, she is Vice Chair of the International Nuclear Societies Council (INSC) and a member of the Executive Committee of the Arab Women’s Network in CBRN Security.

Her impactful leadership and dedication have earned her high-level recognition, including being featured on the UNESCO website as an inspiring woman in celebration of International Women’s Day on March 8, 2024. Over the past four years, she has received multiple prestigious awards: two in 2022 (from the Minister of Energy and CNESTEN’s Director General), two in 2023 (including one at EMI during an event opened by two ministers), one in 2024 (by SNRT), and four in 2025 (Iconic African Leader, African Leader Hall of Fame, Trending 2025, and Jadara Foundation).
