Fatema has over two decades of experience as a Commission Officer. She has spent seven years at the Barakah Nuclear Power Plant, where she has played a significant role in enhancing nuclear security operations and training programs. Fatema is a distinguished executive recognized for her pioneering contributions in high-stakes sectors, particularly as the first Emirati female Ambassador for the World Institute for Nuclear Security (WINS) at the Barakah Nuclear Power Plant. She is an active mentor with the Black Sea Women in Nuclear Network, through which she provides guidance and support to women in the field as they navigate their own paths toward leadership and career advancement. She is a fervent proponent of leadership that creates meaningful change and, as a certified executive coach, commits herself to enabling teams of diverse backgrounds while building work environments that are both inclusive and capable of top-tier performance.
The depth of her insight is firmly rooted in an advanced educational foundation; this includes a Master of Science degree in Quality & Safety in Healthcare Management and her current academic pursuit of a Doctorate in Education, specializing in the areas of Leadership and Innovation. Her professional authority is further enhanced by an array of elite credentials, such as her status as a Certified Nuclear Security Professional (CNSP) and an ISO 31000 Lead Risk Manager.
